The Private Sector Plant Breeding Award recognizes an individual whose accomplishments as a scientist in the private sector have had extraordinary impact in the field of plant breeding in areas such as germplasm development, cultivar release, technological innovation, and leadership.

NAPB 2022 early career scientist award nomination
The Early Career Scientist Award recognizes an individual pursuing a career in the plant breeding field. Applicants should exhibit the ability to establish strong research foundations (e.g., technological innovations, experimental techniques, publications, etc.), interact with multidisciplinary teams, demonstrate leadership, and participate in relevant professional societies. The nominee must have obtained their PhD after December 31, 2011.

2023 NAPB Lifetime Achievement Award nomination
The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes an individual who has given distinguished long term service to the plant breeding discipline in areas like breeding/genetics research, publications, variety and germplasm developments, education (graduate or undergraduate training or continuing education), outreach, and regional/national/international leadership.

Borlaug Scholar nominations are open!
The NAPB Borlaug Scholars Program strengthens the plant breeding profession by helping support attendance of future leaders at the NAPB Annual Meeting. We are seeking for your help to identify the most promising students that are in upper-level undergraduate and advanced graduate levels at universities in the United States. We are looking for candidates whose aim is to further their education
beyond the B.S. degree and both M.S. and Ph.D. students looking to enter the workplace in less than two years.
