2015 NAPB Meeting FAQ

How do I attend the Pre-Conference Tour?

Register here. Arrive at the Residence Inn by Marriot lobby by 6:30 am. The tour includes box breakfast, lunch, snacks and beverages. The tour will return to Pullman by 7:00 pm. More information will be provided to registered attendees.

 

Where will the conference be held? 

The conference will be held at the WSU Compton Union Building (CUB), highlighted on the NAPB GOOGLE MAP.

 

Can I cancel my meeting registration? 

Cancellations and substitution requests must be requested in writing to Kate Evans. Please e-mail kate_evans@wsu.edu and include your name, registration confirmation number and reason for cancellation. Refunds may be granted for cancellations through June 26th; cancellations are subject to a processing fee of $10. Registrants who do not attend and have not cancelled in writing by June 26th are responsible for the full fee registered. You may substitute another person from your organization at any time up until the start of the event. Meeting organizers reserve the right to deny cancellation requests and retain part of the registration fees as deemed appropriate. In all cases the maximum amount retained will be the full total of registration fees paid.

 

How does the Honors Hall accommodation work? 

In order to offer a cheaper accommodation option, a block of rooms has been reserved on campus at WSU Honors Hall. You must reserve and pay for your room in advance on the main NAPB meeting registration site. Bed linen and towels are provided. The per room per night cost is $75 however each room has 2 beds so can be shared. Please make your own arrangements to share rooms (and the cost) if you prefer this option.

 

Need a roommate for the meeting?

A google document has been created to help people connect with others individuals that are in need of a roommate. Fill out your information on the form or contact individuals who have already submitted a roommate request.

 

Can I cancel my WSU HOUSING registration?

Cancellations and substitution requests must be requested in writing to Kate Evans. Please e-mail kate_evans@wsu.edu and include your name, registration confirmation number, CHECK IN, CHECK OUT date and reason for cancellation. Full refunds may be granted for cancellations through June 26th. Due to the limited space and volume, cancellations made after June 26th are subject to a processing fee of $50. Registrants who do not attend and have not cancelled in writing by June 26th are responsible for the full fee registered. How can I get to the CUB from the Residence Inn by Marriot?

It is a pleasant 15 minute walk, across campus, from the conference hotel to the CUB. Contact The Residence Inn by Marriot to make arrangements for hotel shuttle transportation to and from the CUB. 

 

Where do I park?

For NAPB WSU housing guests in Honors Hall, specific parking passes will be provided at check-in.

For NAPB general attendees, the CUE lot highlighted on the NAPB GOOGLE MAP is the closest to the conference. Additional parking options can be consulted at http://www.parking.wsu.edu/ Campus parking is strictly enforced – please follow all signage and regulations.

Tuesday July 28th Local Foods Mixer: WSU Lewis Alumni Center (LAC), parking is adjacent

               Morning refreshments

               Morning refreshments

               Afternoon refreshments
               Pre-banquet mixer and bar (two complimentary drinks/registrant)
               Conference banquet

Thursday July 30
               Morning refreshments
               Lunch (Sponsored by Monsanto)

 

What else is there to do in Pullman?

Pullman has a variety of dining and recreational opportunities, many are highlighted on the NAPB GOOGLE MAP. Check out the University Recreation Center ($8/day), Palouse Ridge Golf Course and Birch and Barley pub.
